Darryl Benham Obituary

Darryl L. Benham, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY.

He was born in Cuba, NY, on September 8, 1939, the son of the late Manville and Josephine [Matheny] Benham.

Mr. Benham moved to Sanborn in 1969 and was a crane operator at the GM Foundry in Tonawanda for 30 years, before retiring in 1988.

He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed wood working, gardening and was an avid hunter.

Mr. Benham is survived by his wife of 54 years Sandra [Smith] Benham, two sons Jeffrey (Kathy) and Darryl (Kim) Benham, one daughter Jill (James) Faulkner, nine grandchildren Joseph, David (Alice), Andrew (MacKenzie), Erika, Jessica, Christina, Erin, Meagan and Shane, two great grandchildren Liam and Emma, two brothers Dean (Kathy) and David (Bea) Benham, one sister Helen (late Fred) Middaugh, also many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Donna (late James) Kane.

His family will be present on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeffrey Nowak.
