Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. 
She was born in Niagara Falls , NY on February 8, 1955, the daughter of Anthony (Anne) Sardella and the late Barbara A. [Cantara] Previte.

Debi was a graduate of both Starpoint and Niagara County Community College.   She loved spending time with and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.  Debi was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling to Key West, scrap booking, reading and cooking. She volunteered with the exercise class at Immaculate Conception Church. 

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 41 years Daniel C. Szczygiel, two daughters Cassandra (Jay) Hurtgam and Amanda (Justin) Clough, three grandchildren Emma, Justin, Jr; and Allison, a brother Stephan (fiancé Kim) Sardella, sister-in laws, Gail (Walter) Nichols, Cindy (Jim) Tighe and also many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. 

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY, with the Rev. James R. Bastian officiating.

Memorials may be made in her name to Women and Children's Hospital, 219 Bryant St., Buffalo, NY 14222.
