Of Ransomville, NY, passed away on June 30, 2017 in ECMC. He was born in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario on June 23, 1926. He was the son of the late Fred and Reta [Muir] Honadle.

Mr. Honadle was employed at Niagara Mohawk, until his retirement. He joined the US Navy at 17 and served during WWII aboard the USS Lexington. He taught snow skiing at Kissing Bridge, and was a driving force of the old Lewiston Ski Club on Ridge Road. He was in the waterski shows at Cypress Gardens in Florida and later was a member of the Neptune Ski Club in Lewiston. For many years he opened the water ski season there by skiing on Easter Sunday, some years around ice-floats. He had his pilot’s license, trained horses and was an amateur winemaker at his Farm in Ransomville. He was a member of various political and civic organizations, the Bonds lake Environmental and Beautification Committee, the American Legion Post in Ransomville, and many Veterans groups and local organizations.

Mr Honadle is survived by his daughter Catrina (Bernie) Kopell, son Errol (Stephanie) Honadle, grandchildren Adam Kopell, Josh Kopell, Reese Honadle and Ryann Honadle, brother Dean (Gail) Honadle, sister Linda (late Andy) Hastee, sister-in-law Bernice Honadle, mother-in-law Anna Nikisch, brother-in-laws, Werner Stocker and Herbert (Kathryn) Nikisch, life long friend Denny (Marge) Compton and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Don Honadle. 

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 14 at 5:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY 14131, with Rev. James Bastian officiating.
