Hattie Virginia (Reddick) Lowery left this life on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she lovingly referred to as "the Master". She was predeceased by her husband Paul Eugene Lowery, her son Glen Lowery and her daughter Loretta (Tammy) Lowery. Mrs. Lowery was born on August 16, 1928 in Pantego, NC to the late John B. Reddick and Tennie L. (Spencer) Reddick.

She relocated to Niagara Falls in the early 50’s where she would reside for the remainder of her life. Mrs. Lowery was affiliated with several churches and found a home at Bethlehem Revival Temple. She was officially ordained on March 14, 2014 (Intercessory Prayer Board). She also received a certificate of appreciation for her pastoral work in May of 2015. Mrs. Lowery was one of the original members of the St. John’s Food Pantry. She was not only mother of her church, but mother to many in the Niagara community and lived a prayerful life. At the center of her being, she had a joy for life, a love for her neighbors and peace in her soul that could only come from God.

Mrs. Lowery had multiple interests such as reading, crocheting, sewing, knitting, and quilting.   Other passions included spending time tending to her vegetable garden, fruit trees, and flowers. She willingly shared the fruits of her labor with friends and neighbors. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for church functions and others. Her baked goods were world famous.

As an only child, one of her greatest joys was to nurture and raise her 11 children whom she loved beyond reason. She is survived by 6 sons, Melvin (Pamela) Spencer, Leonders Spencer, Terry (Thelma) Lowery, Jeffrey (Helen) Lowery, Michael (Michelle) Lowery, Randall (Donna) Lowery, 3 daughters, Beverly Spencer, Lindalisa (Lawrence) Norville, and Janice Lowery, sister-in-law Paula (Wayne) Galloway, daughter-in-law, Katrina Lowery, brother-in-law Kenneth Battle and sister-in-law Jackie Lowery. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grand children, and great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special family friends, Cheryl Azzinaro and Thomas Ashford.

Her family will be present on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Revival Temple, 2010 Virginia Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM.
