Of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on April 21, 2017 in Schoellkopf Health Center. She was born on August 31, 1952 in Clearfield County, PA, the daughter of the late George L. and Lois A. [Stanton] Aszman.

Janice spent her early years in Pennsylvania, moved to New York in her teens, then to Iowa in her 30’s, ultimately making Niagara Falls, NY her final home.  Janice loved many things, especially her 3 children. She was also constantly surrounded by them and her nieces and nephews. Her one true love was Elvis Presley, in her youth, her room was covered with his posters and his music played throughout the house, she swore someday she would be his wife! In her spare time, she watched Lifetime movies or played bingo. For every occasion, you could always expect a card in the mail from Janice.

Janice is survived by her children, Karen (James) Iveysof New York, Lynn Bix of Iowa, and Ed Wisdom of Missouri, granddaughter Karolina M. Cox and a grandson, Siblings, Joann Bix of Missouri, Carol Thaylor and Susan Lazarou of New York, Larry Aszman, Daniel (Alice) Aszman, and Robert (Allen) Aszman all of Iowa, Sharon (Charles) Cumings of Iowa, David (Kris) Aszman, of Indiana, and Nancy (Ken) Stouwie of Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was the stepdaughter of the late George W. Bailor, sister of Clifford D. Aszman and George L. Aszman Jr and nephew Ethan Cumings and her niece Julie Bix.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Fair Haven Church, 7337 Ward Road, North Tonawanda, NY, with the Rev. Patricia MacKinnon and the Rev. Joseph Denitto officiating.
