Of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Saturday April 15, 2017, at her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Amin and Matel [Haick] Mezhir. 

Mrs. Bloom graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1953 and received her LPN degree from Trott Vocational High School. She was an LPN at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and then with the Niagara County Health Department for over 20 years before retiring. Mrs. Bloom lived in Wilson before moving to Youngstown with her family. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed reading, gardening, going to the casino and cooking. 

She was the wife of 57 years to the late Robert A. Bloom, who passed away on January 29, 2017. Mrs. Bloom is survived by two sons Robert P. Bloom and Eric A. (Tracy) Bloom, three grandchildren Miles (Amanda), Emily (Ashwat Rishi) and Molly Bloom and was the aunt of Barbara Sumbler, JoAnne Werth, James and Dan Mezhir. She was the sister of the late Louise Mezhir, Helen Hadad, James, Albert, Habib "Happy" and Emil Mezhir and aunt of the late Rev. John and David Hadad and Elaine Sharp. 

Her family will be present on Tuesday from 10-12 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM, with Msgr. David G. LiPuma officiating. 

Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to Community Cats Alive or Niagara Hospice.
