Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 11, 1933, the daughter of the late Thomas and Marian (Vanderhoff) Burden.

Mary Lou was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and a graduate of LaSalle High School. She was employed by The New York Telephone Company (now Verizon) for over 30 years, holding various management positions, before retiring as the Business Office Manager of Buffalo in 1988. Mary Lou was a member of St. Leo's Church, the secretary of the St. Joseph Mother's Club, The Telephone Pioneers of America and a member and officer of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 54. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles and going to the casino. Mary Lou was an avid New York Yankees and NASCAR fan and loved to watch her soaps.

She was the wife of 59 years to the late Donald E. Reynolds, who died in October of 2007. Mary Lou is survived by one daughter Julie A. (Mike Bateman) Keller, one son Steven T. Reynolds, four granddaughters, Chantal (Eric) Mitchell, Lindsay (Mark Zito) Keller, Samantha and Stephanie Reynolds, three great grandchildren, Ava Mitchell, Eric Mitchell Jr. and Gabriella Zito, a daughter in law Susan Reynolds, a sister in law Catherine Burden, also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Walter G. Burden, Timothy (late Diana) Burden, Judith "Geege" Burden and Jo-Ann (late Robert) Faulkner. A special thank you to her grandson, Eric Mitchell for taking such loving care of her.

Her family will be present on Thursday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeffrey Nowak officiating.
