Of Youngstown, NY, passed away on April 1, 2017, in Mercy Hospital. She was born on May 8, 1955 in Saranac Lake, NY, the daughter of Mystery A. Maxfield-Johnson and the late Joseph F. Yelle.

Mystie was employed in a variety of maintenance positions at United Cerebral Palsy, Opportunities Unlimited, and Lewiston Porter School.   These jobs all had a common theme of repairing and maintaining things that needed work, and also helping people who were in need of assistance and Mystie excelled in both areas.      In addition, Mystie served as overall maintenance supervisor and sage at Grandpaws for many years. In her spare time, she was a vendor at the Sanborn Mill Co-op, where she sold the recycled and up cycled results of her side of the road scavenging.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her sister Sandra Yelle, niece Tammy English-and great niece Lana English along with her friends and companions of over thirty years, Karen Nowak and Elaine Bell, her adopted niece Sarah Bell-Olarte, her beloved dogs Duke and Sam, and Louie the cat. She also had many, many friends who will miss her.

In her lifelong spirit of reuse and recycle, Mystie chose to donate her organs through UNYTS so that they could continue to contribute to the lives of others.

Funeral Services will be held on MONDAY April 3, 2017 at 1:00PM at the  RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
