Of North Tonawanda, NY, went to home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Buffalo General Hospital.   She was born in North Tonawanda, NY on April 9, 1944, the daughter of the late Harold and Frieda [Exner] Heiman.

Nancy graduated from North Tonawanda High School and Buffalo State Teacher's College with a PHD in Education.   She taught art for the Royalton Hartland School District for over 35 years, before retiring in 1999.

She founded Jesus Quilts Ministry where she made and donated lap quilts to the area nursing homes and hospitals. She also made tissue box covers out of fabric and did embroidering on her special sewing machines.   Nancy's greatest joy was giving to others as Jesus would. She loved to share her faith in God with anyone she made a quilt for. She prayed over them as they were created and each quilt had a special blessing on it. Each time she gave a quilt to someone she asked them to make sure God was first in their life. 

Nancy was a member and Past President of Delta Gamma Kappa, she has been an active member since 1978, almost 40 years. She was a world traveler, a Brown Belt in Judo and enjoyed playing volleyball and softball.

She is survived by her dear friends Marjorie Christie and Carol Ann (Loren) Haseley and Carol Ann's family Megan and Skylar Burns.   She was the sister of Pearl (late Howard) Maurer and James Heiman, also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Creekside Assembly of God, 2625 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst, NY.

Entombment was held in Elmlawn Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY.
