Of Lewiston passed away on May 20, 2017. He was born on June 10, 1935 in Port Jefferson, New York, the son of the late Benjamin B. and Olia (Agres) Kaplin.

Mr. Kaplin received his Masters degree from Niagara University and was employed with Occidental Chemical Co. as a Senior Research Chemist. He and Lynda both held private pilot's licenses and loved flying. He enjoyed railroad history and was a member of the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association). 

Mr. Kaplin is survived by his wife Lynda [Wine] Kaplin, they were married for over 54 years.  He is also survived by his sons David B. Kaplin and Daniel R. Kaplin and  grandchild Brittany Martin.
