Suzanne D'Arcy

Suzanne D'Arcy of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, in Elderwood at Wheatfield.  She was born in Buffalo, NY on September 25, 1933, the daughter of the late John L. and Patricia (Welch) D'Arcy.

Ms  D'Arcy graduated from the Sisters of Charity Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for 41 years at Mount Saint Mary's Hospital serving for many years as the head nurse of the new born nursery.

Ms D'Arcy helped her parents raise and support her nine brothers and sisters and in later years, she lovingly provided a home and cared for her mother until she passed peacefully away at the age of 91.

She was a parishioner of the former St. Teresa's Church and a member of many organizations. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and traveling.

Ms D'Arcy is survived by her brothers John (late Donna) D'Arcy, Gerald (Johnette) D'Arcy, Charles (Nancy) D'Arcy, Dr. Brian (Barbara) D'Arcy, sisters Alison (Dr. Robert) Dietrich and Patricia (Dr. Joseph) Fraumeni, also many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Kevin and Roger D'Arcy and Joan Kuenzli.

Her family will be present on Saturday, February 10, 2018,  from 10-11:00 AM  at St. Raphael's Parish, 3831 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at  11:00 AM, with the Rev. Ivan  Skenderovic  officiating

Memorials may be made in her name to the New Born Nursery at St. Mary's Hospital.

Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
