Julia A. Porter

Passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Elderwood at Grand Island.  She was born on the Six Nation Reservation,  on October 10, 1936, the daughter of the late Grant and Flora [Garlow] Porter.

Ms Porter moved to the Town of Niagara with her family in 1940.

She was employed as a security Guard at Spallino Towers for over five years and became a home health care aid with the Hart Agency.

Ms Porter was an active member of Walnut Avenue Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a dedicated care taker of the church for many years.

She was the loving and cherished mother of Jeffrey Porter, Lori Porter, Sue (Bill) Daniels, Lynn (Mark Place) Wolf and Flora (Tony Rogers) Duval, eleven grandchildren Scott, Tom, Naomi, Julia (Terry), Cory, Lisa, William, Grant, Alexandra and Kristy, a special niece Vicki Porter, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

Ms Porter was the grandmother of the late Josh Mt Pleasant and Samantha Duval and sister of the late Ethel Baker,  Gloria "Teen" Wolf, Delores VanEvery, Arnold, Howard and Robert Porter.

The family will be present on Wednesday from 1-4:30 at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, with  funeral services to follow at 4:30 PM.
