Arthur Ernest LeBlanc, 'Pop' to most and 'Uncle Art' to some, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 5th, 2018. He was surrounded by his family, and passed in his home that he proudly built.
Arthur was extremely active in his church, St. Raphael, where he was a Eucharistic Minister. He helped run the food pantry for many years. He was very proud to be awarded the St. Joseph Workers Award. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army and served his country proudly. He worked many years at Air Co Spear, retired and always declared himself "the best damn crane operator in Niagara Falls."
Among the many things he loved, his wife and family, his beautiful yard that he planted meticulously with zillions of flowers, his morning church service, and breakfast at the Why Coffee Shop where he cleaned up dishes while spending time with his friends. He will be loved and missed by all forever!
He was predeceased by parents Napoleon and Agnes LeBlanc; brother, Raymond; and sister, Yvette. Arthur is survived by his wife, Vivian LeBlanc, they were happily married for 72 years; daughters, Peggy Hayes and Robyn (Harold) Proctor; grandchildren, Dana Hayes, Todd (Kristen) Hayes and James (Aimee) Proctor; great-grandchildren, William and Adeline Hayes.
Viv and Art wish to thank all the friends and relatives that have crossed their paths and helped them throughout the years.
Arthur continues to give to this world as he donated his body for the training of medical students at the University of Buffalo. There will be no viewing, and Memorial Mass will be held at St. Raphael on April 7th at 11:00 AM, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
Donations in his name may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
