Clark F. "Sonny" Aubrey

Clark F. "Sonny" Aubrey, 82, of Ransomville, NY, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his home under the care of his family. Born January 21, 1936 in Cazenovia, NY,  Clark was the son of the late L. Clark and Alfreda [Haskins] Aubrey.

Mr. Aubrey moved to Niagara Falls with his family as a child. He graduated from LaSalle High School, Buffalo State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Niagara University with a Master's Degree in Counseling.  He lived a full and robust life, becoming a carpenter, police officer, drive-in and movie theater manager before finding his calling as an English teacher with Niagara Falls School District.  He retired from teaching in 1992.  After retiring, he turned his love of golf into a position as a golf ranger at Shawnee Country Club.  He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, visiting casinos and getting together with friends.  He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan.  
   
Mr. Aubrey was the husband of the late Gail J. [Stensvold-Lund] Aubrey who passed away in 2005. 

He is survived by his three children  Beret C. (late Mark) Brenckman, Claire E. Aubrey and Leif  (Amy) Aubrey, Sr., three grandchildren Leif Jr., Julia Gail and Dylan Aubrey and brothers Curtis Aubrey and Robert Frink, sisters Elfreda Campbell, Joanne Miller, TC Crandall and Darlene Chenault, also many beloved nieces, nephews and step-grand and great-grandchildren. 

Mr. Aubrey was the brother of the late Richard Frink.

His family will be present on Thursday from  2-5 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL

HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN,NY, followed by funeral services at 5:00 PM, with the  Rev. Stewart M. Lindsay, OSFS, officiating. 

Memorial donations may be made in his name to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Niagara Hospice or the Lewiston Fire Co. #1.

Entombment will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, reunited at last with his beautiful, missed wife.
