David Rendina Obituary

David A. Rendina of Niagara Falls, NY passed away January 10, 2019 surrounded by his family at home. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 9, 1956, a son of  Anthony J. Rendina and the late Eleanor (Princevalle) Rendina.

Mr. Rendina served the Army National Guard 914 as a Combat Engineer in 1984. He went on to join the US Air National Guard, 107th Air Refueling wing in 1996. He was a first responder to 9/11, as well as three deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.  He retired with 30 years of military service and left the 107th civil engineering squad as Master Sergeant.  David was employed as Crew Leader of the Forestry Department for the City of Niagara Falls and was a loyal union member and past Vice President of the United Steelworkers of America, Local #9434. 

Dave had many hobbies;  he was a third degree black belt in karate, loved to cook, bake, make wine, garden and create just about anything he could imagine. He had an incredible skill for outdoor survival and was a modern day Renaissance man.   David had a passion for music of all genres, but most of all loved to gather with his boys “ The T-Birds” and sing doo-wop for his girls and family. 

David will be sadly missed, he was a legend in his own time.

Besides his father,  he is survived by his wife Robin J. [Butry] Rendina, daughters Tiffany A. (Carlos) Bradberry, Sarah D. (late Matthew) Cummings, Meggan C. Rendina and Maria R. Rendina (James Majka), grandchildren Gianna Bradberry, Jalen Bradberry, Justis Bradberry, Julia L. Cummings, Mariah and Sam Long, great-grandson Karmelo Mandrona, brother Ralph J. (Deanna) Rendina.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His family will be present on Monday from 1-4 & 6-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Ave., NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where services will be held at 8:30 AM, followed by a  Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth St., Niagara Falls, NY,  with Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating.
