Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017, in the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility, Lockport, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 26, 1927, a son of the late Louis and Katherine (Kohapat) Kondrat.
He attended Niagara Falls High School and graduated from Trott Vocational High School. Mr. Kondrat served with the US Marines in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was employed at Kimberly Clark for 23 years before becoming a millwright at Harrison Radiator in Lockport. Mr. Kondrat enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
He is survived by his wife , Theresa [Losin] Kondrat, two daughters, Linda S. (Randolph) Hantz and Patricia A. (George) Julias, four grandchildren Lisa S. Hantz-Gangell, Jennifer Lynn (Brad) Hantz-Brownschidle, James (Cara) Julias & Michael (Daniel) Julias, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Helen Gigure.
His family will be present on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, followed by funeral services at 4 PM with the Rev. Brad Delp officiating.
Entombment with military honors at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
