Elbert Lewis of Niagara Falls, NY passed away May 25, 2019. He was born in Birmingham, AL on April 1, 1949, the son of the late James and Dorothy Lewis.
He attended many local schools and received his GED and started working at a very young age to provide for his family.
He served in the US ARMY and was employed at Airco Speer for several years.
He enjoyed playing baseball, playing cards, dancing, concerts watching western movies. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always had a smile and trying to get everyone around him to smile. He never had a negative or bad word to say about anyone.
He was the husband of the late Georgetta Kenyon Lewis. He is survived by his brothers. Tyrone Daisy Lewis, Johnny Tiffany Lewis, Gregory Sue Lewis, Mark Lewis, Eddie Doris Lewis, sisters Gwendolyn Lewis and Tanya Lewis, daughters Althea Rodney Young, Evangeline Charles Hayes, sons Albert Lewis, Demetrius Lewis, grandchildren Sophia Holmes, James Holmes, Rena Young Renisha young, Tequilia Lewis ,Charles M Hayes, Shanny Lewis, Nastashia Lewis Lachelle Boone, and 20 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by two best friends and cousins Morris Bell and Bernard Bell, and many other family and friends.
He was the brother of the late Timothy Lewis.
A special thank you to his Aide for taking such good care of him, going above and beyond, also to Tiffany for being so kind and caring towards him.
Visitation will be on Friday from 10-11AM at Judah Deliverance Ministries, 1905 Hyde Park Blvd, Niagara Falls, NY, where Funeral Services will follow at 11AM.
Interment in Riverdale Cemetery with Military Honors.
