Evelyn E. Curione

of Pekin,  passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her residence.    She was born in Sycamore Valley, OH,  on February 27, 1921, the daughter of the late Robert and Fay [McFadden] Ayers.

Mrs. Curione moved to Pekin in 1938 and worked with her husband in the insurance and real estate business.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing needlework.

Evelyn was known for her sweet nature and kind words, she had a positive outlook on life. Her family would seek out her wisdom where she would calmly listen and help them sort things out, an example for all in her quiet way.

Mrs. Curione was the wife of the late Peter Curione, Sr., who passed away in November of 2000.     She is survived by her children JoAnn (Donald) Kantner, Peter (Claire) Curione, Jr., Philip Curione, Charles (Kathleen) Curione, Louise (Michael) Kent and Patrick (Cindy) Curione, 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.   Mrs. Curione was the sister of the late Charles and Harry Ayers.

Her family will be present on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Private Funeral Services will be held at the wishes of her family.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Pekin Fire Company.
