James “JJ” Jordan Obituary
James T. “JJ” Jordan of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Friday, June 28, 2019. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 20, 1943, the son of the late Harold C. and Mary [Supple] Jordan.
JJ graduated from Niagara Falls High School and became the yard inspector with Anchor Motor Freight for the next 35 years, before retiring.
He was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church and the Niagara River Anglers Association.
JJ enjoyed spending time with his family, dining out and was an avid Chicago Clubs fan.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Mary Kay [Payne] Jordan, sons James and John (Kelly Dolan) Jordan, a son-in-law Kevin Blasczienski, seven grandchildren Mia, James III, Siena, Kevin "KJ", Otto, Madyson and Cayden, a sister Linda (Kenneth) Lee, brother-in-law of Bonnie Lackas, James M. (Susan) and Francis W. "Frank" (Sharon) Payne, and Elizabeth (Michael Mash) Schlosser, Michele (late Patrick) Payne, his former wife Ruth (Anthony) Ponzi, dear friends Toni and Paul Canfield, also many nieces and nephews.
JJ was the father of the late Natalie Blasczienski and brother of the late Larry Lackas.
His family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael's Church, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to the Schoellkopf Health Care Center, 621 10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
