Jane Peuss Obituary
Jane M. Peuss of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Fred and Anna [Considine] Peuss.
Ms Peuss graduated from St. Mary's High School and Buffalo State Teachers College. She was an elementary school teacher at Lewiston - Porter School for many years.
Ms Peuss had traveled extensively throughout the world and enjoyed gourmet cooking, reading and spending time with her close friends.
She is survived by one sister Nancy (Robert) Fortman and was the aunt of Martin and Andrew (Terri) Marino, Mary Jo (David) Rhodes, Kathleen (Mick) Pontalti, Maureen (Jeff) Milne, Michael and Mark (Holly) Fortman, also many grand nieces and nephews.
Ms Peuss was the sister of the late Eileen (Joseph) Marino.
Her family will be present on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Friday at 9:30 AM at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating.
Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY, 14092.
Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
