Jean Carol Glennie Bishop, 84, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was born in Riverside in Buffalo, NY, on October 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary [Ramier] Glennie.

Jean graduated from Riverside High School and later received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Buffalo. After raising her children, she worked as a sales associate at J.C. Penney until her retirement in 2002. 

Jean was an artist who loved her family, friends and dogs. Her children were everything to her and there was never a better mother. Everyone who knew Jean found her to be genuinely kind and caring and also appreciated her goofy sense of humor. 

She was the wife of the late James A, Bishop, Sr., who passed away in February of 2014. She is survived by a son James A. Bishop, Jr., and a daughter Beth A. Bishop.

Private funeral services were held.
