Joanne M. Hill

Joanne M. Hill, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018, in her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice.     She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 8, 1938, the daughter of Norris R. and Elizabeth S. [Christ] Hilts.

Joanne graduated from LaSalle High School in 1956. She took pride in being a homemaker and had a passion for cooking and baking. Joanne loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was the wife of the late William B. Hill, who passed away in August of 1994.

Joanne is survived by her three children Lori (Andrew) Neal, Linda (C. Ronald) Lux and Blake Hill, special grandma to Tara (Brad) Thompson,  Brett (Hillary) Neal,   Ronald (Jennifer) Lux and Ryan (Quyen) Lux and GiGi to Connor, Braden, Alivia Thompson, Everett and Lydi Neal, Charlie and Nora Lux, one very special brother Gene (Joanne) Hilts, also many loving in laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long time friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Niagara Hospice for the care and compassion given to Joanne.

Her family will be present on Friday, July 6th, from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating.

Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude's Hospital or to Niagara Hospice.

Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
