Of the Town of Pendleton, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.   She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Virgil W. and Martha [Schimpke]  Knapp.

Mrs. Altrogge graduated from Wilson High School in 1941.

She was employed with the Jenss Department Store in Tonawanda and at the Summit Park Mall.    Mrs. Altrogge was a foot reflexologist, working out of her home for many years.    She served as a voting inspector and was very involved  as a 4-H leader and with the Boy Scouts.

She was an active member and a Stephen Minister at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years.

She was the wife of the late  Henry J. Altrogge who passed away in February of 2000.
Mrs. Altrogge is  survived by two sons Gary J. Altrogge and Douglas M. (Reneé) Altrogge, one grandson Brian M. Altrogge, a sister in law Twila Knapp,  also several nieces & nephews     She was the sister of the late Virgil Knapp.

Her  family will be present on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM  at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.     Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY, with the Rev. Karl Haeussler officiating.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. 

Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
