Julia McCabe Obituary
Julia A. McCabe of Lewiston, NY passed away November 21, 2019, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary [Praydich] Bakarich.
Mrs. McCabe graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was the manager of the former Nitec Credit Union and the Grand Island Federal Credit Union, for over 20 years, before retiring in 2009.
Mrs. McCabe volunteered at the Fatima Shrine, St. Peter's Church and St. Mary's Hospital.
She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McCabe was the wife of the late Patrick McCabe.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Michael) Whitmire, a daughter in law Elizabeth McCabe, also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late John and Thomas McCabe and sister of the late Marjorie, Catherine and Helen.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9:30 AM at St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street Lewiston, NY, with the Rev. Thomas M. Mahoney officiating.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Fatima Shrine.
Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
