Marilyn Schoenherr Obituary

Marilyn J. Schoenherr, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Schoellkopf Health Center.   She was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on October 25, 1928, the daughter of the late George and Eloise [Swann] Neville.

Mrs. Schoenherr graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1946. She was employed at Olin Matheson and J.N. Adams & Co. department store and later as a dental assistant for Dr. McDonnell after having raised her five children.

She became a partner with her dear friend, Gretchen Broderick, opening the very first Bed & Breakfast reservation service in Western New York in 1981, "Rainbow Hospitality".

Mrs. Schoenherr loved to travel to Siesta Key, FL, Colorado and New York City.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Robert J. Schoenherr, they were married on August 20, 1949 in Sacred Heart Church, two sons James R. (Brenda) and Thomas J. (Donald Bertucci) Schoenherr, three daughters Sue A. (Steven) Hosey, Karen L. (Stephen) Roberts and Patricia J. (Jeffrey) Beresheski, ten grandchildren Jessica and Benjamin Hosey, Zachary (Ari) and Robert Schoenherr, Elizabeth, Colleen, Kaitlin, and Maureen Roberts, Alex and Allison Beresheski, four great grandchildren Chad Michael, Olivia, Ezekiel and Reed, one sister Mary Beth Miller, two nieces  Jennifer (Garrett) Olds and Lisa (James) Woods.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent dePaul Parish, Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of NH2 at Schoellkopf Health Center for their most kind and compassionate care of Mom.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Parkinson's Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY  10018.

Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Lewiston, NY.
