Mary "Neenee" Luch

Mary "Neenee" Luch, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully and in the presence of those who loved her, on Friday, August 10, 2018. She was born in Czechoslovakia on June 17, 1922 to parents John and Susan Lassan.

The family immigrated to Ontario, Canada when she was a young child.  Mary married and moved to Niagara Falls, NY in 1941 where she made a home with her husband John and their three children.

During the 1950's and 60's they co-owned and operated the Cataract Cigar & Souvenir Store on Falls Street. 

Mary was a member of the Lewiston Seniors and loved spending time with her family and friends and made every effort to make them feel happy and cherished.

Mary's husband John passed away in March of 1999.     She is survived by daughter Judy A. Stephenson (Lewiston, NY), two sons, John M. Luch (Olcott, NY) and Dan (Penny) Luch (Morgan Hill, CA), eight grandchildren, Molly (Larry) Wills, Danny Luch, Johnny (Roxanne) Luch, Kathy Luch, Craig (Margaret) Luch, Donny (Yvonne) Stephenson, Natasha Luch, and Heidi (Todd) Elliott, 10 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Tristan, Brett, Matthew, Ryan, Sean, Angelo, Henry, Ryan, and Ashley. Mary is also survived by her sister, Anne Zapke (Ontario, Canada), as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will be present for visitation on Monday August 13th from 11:00 - 1:00 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM, with Msgr. David G. LiPuma officiating.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
