Mildred L. Lynum of Niagara Falls, NY passed away July 28, 2019, at her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Birmingham, AL, on November 1, 1932, the daughter of the late William and Lucile [Richardson] Smyer.
Mrs. Lynum moved to Niagara Falls in 1951. She was a bus aide with the Niagara Falls Bus Lines and later, as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn in Niagara Falls.
She was a member of the LaSalle Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, crocheting, doing crafts and listening to music.
She was the wife of the late Edward M. Lynum, who passed away in 2010.
Mrs. Lynum is survived by her children Warren (Connie) Lynum, Wayne Lynum, Joyce Frett, Hazel Sealey and Laura (late DeLancey Scott) Lynum, four grandchildren Marcus Sealey, Marti (Glenn) Sealey-Hicks, Lewia (Caitlin) Frett and Frances (Jared Burdick) Bisa Frett, one great grandson Graham Frett, a brother Don Smyer, also many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Winston E. (Catherine) Lynum and sister of the late Joe and Harry Smyer.
Her family will be present Friday from 12-1 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Ave., NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where services will follow at 1:00 PM.
