Phyllis J. Fending

Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, in Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, NY.   She was born on February 22, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Philip and Mary [Boal] Prue.

Mrs. Fending attended Trott Vocational High School.   She was a health care aide at Northgate Manor for several years.

Mrs. Fending was a member of the Niagara Active Hose Band where she was a Drum Majorette and also taught baton twirling.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed baking and was well known for her raspberry jam.

Mrs. Fending is survived by her husband Donald J. Fending, Sr., they were married on August 27, 1960, her children Donald (Catherine) Fending, David (Deborah) Fending, Diane (Thomas) Anderson, six grandchildren Donald (fiancé' Shannon Anderson) Fending, Colleen (fiance Joseph Bellardini) Fending, Dr. Philip (Dr. Sara) Fending, Allison Hogan, David A. (Michelle) Fending and Dean Fending, two sisters Dorothy (late Lewis) Laurie and Judith (Richard) Sirianni, also many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Arlene (Fredrick) Bauer.

Her family will be present on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
