Renee D. Kinney

Renee D. Kinney, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on January 28, 1971, the daughter of Diane A. [Donahue] Mellott and the late Victor G. Mellott.

Renee graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1989.  She was the branch administrator and retired from GrayBar Electric. 

She was so courageous fighting cancer for 10 years, always smiling, always saying she was OK, even though she was silently suffering on the inside.

Renee was an awesome Mom, always supporting AJ and Conner at what ever they were doing .

She was an Angel to many people, helping them in any way she could,  giving guidance and support to others that were also fighting, she was an inspiration and role model, giving them hope and encouragement.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, John of 22 years, they were married on September 2, 1995, two sons Anthony "AJ" and Conner Gray Kinney, two brothers Timothy K. (Gina) and Douglas (Katie) Mellott and was the daughter in law of David and Sandra Kinney, sister in law  of Joseph (fiancé Amanda Johnson) Kinney, also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Many close friends, especially Mary Gee, the boys Aunt.

She was the sister of the late Kimberly J. Mellott and sister in law of the late David W. Kinney.

Her family will be present on Friday from 1-3 & 6-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY and on Saturday from 9-10 :00 AM, followed by Funeral Services at 10:00 AM.

Flowers are gratefully declined, Memorials may be made in her name to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.

Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
