Thomas A. Bluff Sr.

of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, in Wheatfield Commons.     He was born in Buffalo, NY, on February 22, 1939, the son of the late Edward and Violet [McGovern] Bluff.

Mr. Bluff graduated from Annunciation High School and Byrant and Stratton.    He was a motorcycle police officer with the Buffalo Police Department for over 36 years, before retiring in 2001.

Mr. Bluff loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.    He will be remembered for his sense of humor.

Mr. Bluff is survived by his son Thomas A. Bluff, Jr., two daughters Julie A. (James) Couch and Michelle (Michael) Pearce, eight grandchildren Jesse, Ryan, Tyler, Nicholas, Danielle, Mikayla, Madison and Mandy, a brother Robert H. (Mary) Bluff, three sisters Virginia A. Bluff, Nancy K. Abel and Mary Ellen (Eugene) Rynkowski, his former wife Patricia [Schreiner] Bluff and a sister in law Jean Bluff, also many nieces and nephews.       He was the brother of the late Edward T., Gerald Bluff ands Violet I. (late Arthur) Havlik.

His family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 AM at St. Paul's Parish, 33 Victoria Blvd., Kenmore, NY.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Buffalo BPA or to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY.

Interment with military honors in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda, NY.
