Mr. Beck graduated from Niagara Falls High School in the class of 1932 and attended the University of
Michigan.
During World War II, he was a captain in the Army Air Force from 1942 to 1946 serving as a pilot in the
Air Transport Command. He made more than 80 trans-Atlantic flights and received the American
Campaign, European Africa - Middle East, Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Medals, the Victory Medal and
was the recipient of the Meritorious Service Citation. After returning from the war, he was employed
by the Hooker Chemical Company as technical service specialist before retiring in 1977.
Mr. Beck was the husband of 52 years to the late Lucette M. Beck, who passed away in August of 2012.
He was the uncle of Gail Hays, Ann Bindert, June Oxford and Mary Souther and the late Parks Souther.
Mr. Beck is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of his family.
Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
