Ann L. Gallagher

Ann Gallagher of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, in the Schoellkopf Health Center, Niagara Falls, NY.   She was born in Jamestown, NY, on January 20, 1930, the daughter of the late Alpine and Ruth [Sigular] Johnson.

Mrs. Gallagher moved to Niagara Falls in the early 50's.   She was an administrative secretary at Madonna High School during the 1970's and graduated from Niagara University Summa Cum Laude in 1984 with her Bachelors of Arts.  She was a member of the Legion of Mary, Credo and volunteered at St. Marys Hospital and at the Fatima Shrine.

Mrs. Gallagher enjoyed gardening, knitting and refinishing furniture.

She was the wife of the late Wayne A. Gallagher, Phd., who passed away in 1990.  

Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her children Patrick (Margaret)Gallagher, Michael (Maureen) Gallagher, Catherine (Michael) Austin and Mary (Glen) Washington, also thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late John, William and Andrew Gallagher, sister of the late Alpine Johnson, Jr., her twin JoAnn Leber and Dolores Bloom.

Her family will be present on Sunday from 4-6 PM  at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME , 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael Parish,  3831 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating.

Flowers are gratefully declined.   Memorials may be made in her name to the Fatima Shrine, Lewiston, NY or to the Carmelite Monastery, 75 Carmel Road, Buffalo, NY  14214.

Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
