Ann M. Oliver, 90, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center of complications of multiple myeloma. She was born and raised in Rochester, the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary [Walsh] Tierney.
A graduate of Mercy High School and Nazareth College, she received a Masters in Education from the University at Buffalo. She taught at Fairport, Starpoint and was a Community Education teacher for the Niagara Falls Board of Education for 35 years. She taught marriage preparation courses at Stella Niagara and Madonna H.S. She also tutored reading. Mrs. Oliver was a volunteer in the diocesan Jr. Great Books Program. She was active in the Pre Cana Program for many years and recently a volunteer with the Medical Reserve Corps.
Mrs. Oliver enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs. An avid reader, she was a long time member of the Niagara Falls College Club DeVeaux Book Group.
She enjoyed travel and traveled extensively in this country and Canada and made numerous trips to Europe.
Mrs. Oliver had a keen interest in and was knowledgeable of presidential history and politics.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, J. Robert Oliver, three children John Oliver, Catherine (Thomas) Hyland and Mary Ann Oliver, four grandchildren Michael Oliver, Dana Krishland, Megan Bova and Laura Hyland and 3 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Oliver was predeceased by 5 siblings.
The family is appreciative of the exceptional care given to Mrs. Oliver by the S-2 staff at NFMMC.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Raphael's R.C. Parish, 3831 Macklem, Niagara Falls, NY, on Saturday, OCTOBER 23, 2021 at 11:00AM with the Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating.
