Formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Lawrenceville, GA. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on February 23, 1931, a daughter of the late Albert J. and Clara A. [Frederick] Moore.
Anne attended local schools, including the former Sacred Heart School and later graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was employed by the Carborundum Company, Bell Aircraft, The Sample and Niagara Falls Board of Education before retiring in 1992.
She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Parish and with the closing of the parish, joined St. Raphael's Parish where she served as the Parish Pro-Life Coordinator. She also was a member of the Infant Jesus Shrine Saturday Cenacle, and also was a Charter Board Member of the Summit Life Outreach Center. She was an unwavering advocate for pro-life causes.
Anne also was a member of the Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays ' Hyde Park Ladies Golf Clubs. She was a member of several bridge clubs. In her leisure time, enjoyed playing cards with friends, but most of all enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren.
Anne was the wife of the late Harold E. DesPres, who passed away in April of 2004, they were married on July 13, 1957.
She is survived by four children, Judy (Kenneth) Noack, William (Krista) DesPres, Lawrence (Jacqueline) DesPres and James (Erin) DesPres, ten grandchildren Patrick Noack, Ashley (Tim) Macken, Adam (Holly), Lee, Paul, David, Theresa, Catherine, Stephen and Sarah, 6 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Georgette David, her Godchild Chris McDermott,also many nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by her grandson Matthew Noack, her brothers and sisters: Lucille Nichols, Frances Moore, Mildred Wilson, Frederick Moore, Paul Moore, Jane Kilcoyne, Alberta McDermott, Patricia Abel, John, and James Moore, and her twin sister, Mary Margaret Moore.
Her family will be present on Friday, June 27th, from 6-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
Everyone is invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 28th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 4th Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Summit Life Outreach Center.
Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY.
