Anne M. Russell

Anne (nee) Magorien) Russell of East Aurora, NY died on January 27th, 2024 at the age of 95. 

She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Anne was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 5th, 1929, the daughter of Mark M. and Mary L. [Davidson] Magorien.

After graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Niagara Falls, Anne was employed as a secretary at Niagara University.

She was the wife of the late Richard B. Russell who died in August of 2002.  They were married in Sacred Heart Church, Niagara Falls, NY on January 27th, 1951.

Anne is survived by five children Ellen M. Russell of Tucson, AZ, William M. “Bill” (Sandra) Russell of Hockley, TX, M. Joanne (William) Anderson of Oakmont, PA, Richard F. Russell of North Ft. Myers, FL, and Susan C. Russell of East Aurora NY, eleven grandchildren Mark (Jena) Russell, Richard (Cari) Russell, Marie (Brian) Shoenfeld and Anne (Matthew) Vargas, Scott Anderson, Katherine “Kate” (Andrew Brown) Anderson, and Susan Anderson, Joan Sullivan, Carol (Jake) Williams, Joseph Leone and Juanita Leone, fourteen great grandchildren Maya and Emma, Lincoln, Lane, and Lila Russell, Nathan, Brenden, Kaelyn, and Rayna Shoenfeld, Sean and James Vargas, Sabina Pacheco Sullivan and Casey and Jamie Williams a sister-in-law Diana Magorien of Niagara Falls, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the sister of the late Richard J. “Dick” Magorien of San Clemente, CA, Robert D. (Don) Magorien of North Tonawanda, and Thomas M. “Tom” Magorien of Niagara Falls.

Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family.

Memorials may be made in Anne’s memory to the Rural Outreach Center, 730 Olean Road, East Aurora, NY  14052.
