Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, August 3, 1932, the son of the late Samuel and Mary [Mule] Lucatra.
Mr. Lucatra served with the US Army during the Korean War. After returning from the service, he became a truck driver with Kozdranski Concrete for over 50 years before retiring from Empire Concrete in 1994.
He was an avid bowler and hunter.
Mr. Lucatra was well known for his lawn mower repairs.
He was the husband of 52 years to the late Shirley A. [Owens] Lucatra, who passed away in August 0f 2010.
Mr. Lucatra is survived by two sons Anthony Lucatra and David (Sharon) Lucatra, three grandsons Michael (Lindsey), Nicholas and Mark Lucatra, two great granddaughters Michaela and Gabriella, also many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Theresa (Willis) McManigle, Michael (Aggie) Lucatra and John (Skippy) Lucatra,
His family will be present on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice.
Interment with Military Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
