Anthony "Ed" E. Hamilton

Anthony E. "Ed"  Hamilton of Sanborn, NY, passed away on  Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at his residence.   He  was born in Olean, NY on October 28, 1950, a son of the late Charles E. and Lois A. [Burlingame] Hamilton.

Ed moved to Sanborn with his family in 1954. He graduated from Starpoint in 1969 and went on to Erie County Community College and the University at Buffalo.

He was an iron worker with Iron Workers Local #9 for many years and ran Ed's Fruits & Vegetables.

Ed was elected to the Wall of Fame at both Starpoint and ECCC for wrestling.

He was a member of the Sanborn Fire Company.

Ed was the husband of the late  Jeanne E. [Barrand] Hamilton, who passed away in November of 2007.

He is survived by a son Ian (Erin) Howard, three grandsons Dylan, Will and Luke and was the brother of Andrew (late Linda)  Hamilton, John (Maureen) Hamilton, Patricia Dunafin (deceased), Judy (Roger) Wheeler, Helen (Owen) Harned and Rita (Bryan) Martin, also many nieces, nephews and good friends.

His family will be present on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM, with the Rev. Matthews Kofahl officiating.

Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice.

Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Pekin.
