Barbara Joan Evert

Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in Our Lady of Peace. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on August 5, 1932, the daughter of the late Edward and Adaline [Lane] Kysor.

Mrs. Evert was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and a member of the First Assembly of God Church for over 60 years.

She will be remembered as wonderful, loving Grandma Joan for taking care of her family through the years.

Mrs. Evert was the wife of the late Ralph Evert, who passed away in September of 2004.

She is survived by her children Bonny (Danny) George, Dale Evert, Laura (James) Bird and Paul (Debbie) Evert, her daughter in law Mayi Evert, her brother Robert (Brenda) Kysor,  nine grandchildren; Andy (Stacie) George, Nathan (Katie) George, Scott (Chrisanne) George, Matthew (Casey) Bird, Emily (Blake) Fisher, David (Adrianna) Evert, Hannah Evert, Amanda Evert, and Ryan Evert, twelve great grandchildren with the 13th baby on the way, also several nieces and nephews and dog grandma to Pudge, Lad and Duke.

Mrs. Evert was the mother of the late Mike Evert.

Joan's family would like to thank Our Lady of Peace for the kindness and loving care given over the last six years.

Her family will be present on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 2-4 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, followed by funeral services at 4:00 PM.
