Barbara A. MacDonald

Formerly of Sanborn, NY,  passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at Maplewood Nursing Home, Webster, NY on December 15, 2022.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 28, 1936, daughter of the late Harold S. and Margery P. (Palmer) Banks.

Barbara enjoyed gardening, traveling, and garage sales.  She spent the better part of her senior years involved with the Red Hatters, Wheatfield Garden Club and Wheatfield Seniors.  Animals were also a big part of her life from her great-grand dogs to the birds.

She was a Secretary at the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District for over 20 years.

She was the wife of the late John F. MacDonald, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Margaret E. (Edward) Marquis, son John F. (Erica) MacDonald, III., grandchildren Christopher E. (Tressa) Marquis, Andrea M. (Thomas) Minurka, great-grandchildren Mila I. Minurka, Isla J. Minurka and sister Gail M. (late Bill) Browning.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8PM  at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10AM.

Interment in Mount View Cemetery, Pekin, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA Niagara.
