Obituary
BERNICE T. HILL
Of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, in her home. She was born in Maniwaki, Quebec, on January 22, 1931, a daughter of the late Alfred and Jane [Buckshot] Dumont.
Mrs. Hill was a Resident School Survivor #50.
She came to the Tuscarora Nation in 1950 and was employed with various businesses in the area.
Mrs. Hill was the wife of 68 years to the late Howard E. "Rye Yit Toos" Hill, who died in 2018.
She is survived by three sons Fred (Kathy Mihulka), Emmett (Joy) and Richard (Bev) Hill, two daughters Suzie (late Jim) Bloomstine, Catherine (late Chris) Dawe, also many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 19th at 12:00 PM at the Tuscarora Indian Mission, 5035 Walmore Road, Sanborn, with the Rev. Donald A. Robinson officiating.
Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
