Cheryl L. Innes

Of Buffalo, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Buffalo, NY, on December 21, 1959, the daughter of the late Robert (Isabel) Innes and Carol (Ron) Lambert.

Cheryl was a graduate of Riverside High School and worked with various businesses in the area.

She was known for her strong will, fierce independence, and unwavering determination, and she will be remembered for the love, care, and loyalty she showed to her family and all who knew her.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Tasha Innes, Ralph (Brooke), Kevin (Elizabeth), Mark, and Joshua (Rachel) Prentice; and her grandson, Jason Cherry, Jr. She was loved like a grandmother by Alaina, Olivia, and Ezekiel. She is also survived by her siblings, Scott (Samantha), William, Shawn, Bonnie, and Jean Innes; her sister-in-law, Mi Young Innes; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Innes and Robin (Danny) York.

Honoring her wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of services, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Buffalo Zoo.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
