Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Columbus, OH, on November 18, 1968, a son of the late Molly [May] Carpenter and John Nielsen. His family moved from El Paso, TX to Lockport, NY, where he grew up and graduated from Lockport Senior High School.
Chris served with the US Marine Corp during Desert Storm. After returning from the service, he began working as a plumber with Sparks Plumbing and later with J.A. Brundage Drain Doctor in Niagara Falls for the next 20 years.
Chris was an avid Bills and Yankee's fan.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, thunder storms, watching cooking shows, playing basketball and listening to Def Leppard.
Chris is survived by his dear companion Diana Brundage, his children Mackenzie (Andrew) Benham, Morgan (Joshua) Maynard, Stefan Brundage, Justin and Victoria Beyer. Six grandchildren Taylor, Liam, Sawyer, Emma, Amelia and Nakia, his step father Charles Carpenter, siblings Scott (Stephanie) Nielsen, Michael Carpenter, Eric Olivero, Jeanne Carpenter, Sherry (Tom), Robin and Stacey, also many nieces and nephews and his big blended family full of love.
He was the brother of the late Melissa Nielsen.
Christopher's family will be present on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Kathleen A. Ordiway officiating.
