Dale Dianne Williamson
Oct 5, 1940 – May 2, 2026
At the young age of 85, we said goodbye to our number one, our hero, our rock, our matriarch. With so much love, gratitude, and joy for a life so beautifully lived, we share that Dale Williamson peacefully passed on May 2, 2026.
Her favorite color was blue, she loved music, and she was an avid reader - often stunning those around her with the speed at which she could read a book from cover to cover.
Mom had spectacular gardening skills worthy of any magazine. She was an amazingly talented floral designer, earning a diploma in floral design. Many of her creations graced the homes of friends and family.
Mom was also an exceptional decorator, always knowing how to transform a room with beautiful themes, colors, and accents only she could imagine. Friends often asked her to create arrangements or table settings for special occasions. Christmas presents were always wrapped in the most exquisite paper and ribbons, she could outdo anyone in that regard.
She was deeply involved in her community: past president of the Lewiston Council on the Arts, member of the Lewiston Garden Club, and part of the Historical Society. She also served on the Board of Directors of the St. Francis Guild and volunteered at the Lewiston Art Festival every summer. Mom enjoyed local sports, including Bocce and the Ladies’ Golf League, often spending days on the course alongside her beloved Norm.
Mom and Norm loved to travel, especially to sunny destinations, including the Caribbean islands, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Finger Lakes Wine Country.
Mom took great pride in her family and never missed an event - hockey games, skating, or cheerleading competitions. She loved bragging about her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hammell, Sharon Williams (Ken), and Shari Mastropierro (Mark); her cherished grandchildren, Lindsay Williams (Jesse), Mitchell Williams (Jennifer), Taylor Williams (Filip); and her newest great-granddaughter, Mae Williams.
Mom was the eldest of five children and is survived by her brothers, Gary, Don, Garth, and Bobby Graham.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Bill Hammell (1965), and her husband, Norman Williamson (2021).
We like to imagine you and Norm together again watching the Kentucky Derby, a mint julep in hand, and a smile on your face.
Cheers, Mom, Gramma, and friend - we love and miss you. Until we meet again, keep being chic and stylish, and keep the table set. See you later.
Donations may be made in Dale’s name to Niagara Hospice or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
