Daniel J. Hill, 76, of Rochester, NY, passed away from a brief struggle after a long term illness on Monday, June 1, 2020 at the Ontario Center, Canandaigua, NY. Danny Boy, as he was known as, formerly of the Tuscarora Nation and a member of the Turtle Clan, born on February 14, 1944, the son of the late Vivian Rickard Printup Hill and Dan Bones Hill.
He was a long term resident of Rochester, NY where he resided with his significant other, Darlene Loomis, whom he predeceased 2 years ago. They made their life there for approximately 50 years.
Mr. Hill worked for many years as a crane operator, which he retired from.
An avid physical fitness fan, he enjoyed exercising and running. In his later years, he loved long distance walking, he would walk up to 10 miles a day.
Mr. Hill loved socializing with his family and friends as well as who he could charm into talking with him, also watching his Christian programs on TV as well.
He is survived by his sisters, Elaine Smith and twin Derry Lou Smiedala, Vera Jane Quissy , Tanis Greene, Deborah Hill Folino, Denise Walter, Dolores Hill Crawford, Dawn Cheryl Hill, Jackie Lalone, a brother Donald Hill, his best friend and cousin Gordon Hill, also numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Brenda Hill Howard, Joan Printup, David, Ty and Joseph James Hill.
