Of the Town of Wilson, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice.
She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 24, 1951, the daughter of the late Neil and Helen [Wilcox] Pokelwaldt.
Mrs. Barry was a graduate of Starpoint High School and Niagara County Community College.
She was a registered nurse for various health care providers over the years, before retiring as the school nurse at Orleans Niagara BOCES.
Mrs. Barry loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed sailing, reading, camping, wintering in Florida, going to the beach and lake and meeting new people.
She was the wife of 47 years to the late Patrick W. Barry, who passed away in November of 2017.
Mrs. Barry is survived by her children Nathan (Heather), Adam Barry and Jill (Ryan) Smith, seven grandchildren Jared, Sydney, Lawson, Mihla, Lola, Rebekah and Raechel, her sister of Sharon (Neil) Harvey and dear friend Paul Conrad, also three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews
Mrs. Barry was the mother of the late Dean N. Barry and sister of the late Linda, Wesley and Neil Pokelwaldt.
Her family will be present on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Todd Blackley officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice or to the Roswell Park Cancer Alliance.
