Duane J. Phillips, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on September 7, 1940, the son of the late Thomas C. and Arline [Fellows] Phillips.

Mr. Phillips severed with the US Army. He was a carpenter with Local Union 280 for over 30 years, before retiring. Mr. Phillips will be remembered for his unique personality. He was the husband of the late Lillian [Healy] Phillips, who died in October of 2004.

Mr. Phillips is survived by two sons Wayne T. Phillips of Niagara Falls, NY and David T. (Jana) Phillips of Lake Elsinore, CA, four grandchildren Tammy, Trevor (Leah), Christina and Jhericca, one brother Durwood (Jean) Phillips of Niagara Falls, NY, two sisters Anne (Richard) Hoffman of Youngstown, NY and his twin Dale (David) Phillips-Dodge of Niagara Falls, NY, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Riverdale Cemetery, 5605 Old Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY., with the Rev. Michael P. Zuffoletto officiating.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
