Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was born in Somerville, MA, on March 20, 1926, a daughter of the late Thomas and Edna [Leno] Curtin.
Mrs. Wienke was the wife of the late Burton S. Wienke, Sr., who passed away in 1996. She is survived by her son Burton S. (Nora Webb) Wienke, Jr., three grandchildren Jenelle (Jackson) Tarr, Douglas (Jessica) Wienke and Christina Wienke, four great-grandchildren Jack, Bailey, Eric and Rylan, also her nieces and nephews. She was specially loved by Barbara Brewer, Jan (Richard) Allen, Craig (Mary) Wienke and Louie (Josephine) Anderson. She was the sister of five late siblings.
Her family will be present on Friday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Everyone is invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY, with the Rev. James R. Bastian officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton, NY.
