Edward J. McGreevy

Edward J. McGreevy, of Youngstown, NY passed away October 31, 2023 at Elderwood at Grand Island. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 30, 1929, the son of the late 
Frank and Margaret (Allen) McGreevy.

Edward served his country in the US ARMY. He graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Education from the University of Buffalo. Mr. McGreevy was a Social Studies teacher for the Niagara Falls School District for many years until his retirement in 1991.

 He enjoyed traveling, reading books on history, socializing with friends and family, and was involved with local civic and church activities. 

He was the husband of the late Edward F. Tormay. Survived by his brother Allen (late Betty) McGreevy, several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Katherine (John) Muller, Margaret and Elizabeth Tormay. He was the brother of the late John McGreevy and Jean (late Jim) Winters

Visitation on FRIDAY, November 10, from 3-6PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.

Funeral Services on SATURDAY  at 11AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 110 Chestnut Street, Youngstown, NY.
