Edward J. Schieffelin, Jr.
Edward J. "Shorty" Schieffelin, Jr. 32, of Lewiston, NY, died Monday December 17, 2001, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, after being stricken with an apparent heart attack. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on May 31, 1969, the son of Edward J. and Mary Ann [ Gaudio ] Schieffelin, both of Lewiston, NY.
Shorty moved to Youngstown, NY, as a child and later to Lewiston, NY, in 1988. He was a graduate of the Lewiston-Porter High School in 1989.
He was the founding member of the local chapter of Fully Illegal Kustomz Car and Truck Club, a member of the Remote Control Car Club, and a past member of the Lewiston Kiwanis Club.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Mercedes Nicole Schieffelin, of Niagara Falls, NY ;a brother Joseph [ Tamara ] Schieffelin, of Denver, CO; a sister, Rebecca [ Michael ] Mosher, of Atlanta, GA; his fiancee, Angela Cox, of Niagara Falls, NY; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph [ Clara ] Gaudio, of Buffalo, NY, many aunts; uncles and cousins.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Cayuga and So. Ninth Streets, Lewiston, NY, from 7 - 9 PM, Wednesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM, Thursday, where funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hinman and Second Streets, Youngstown, NY.
Entombment will be in the Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum. Lewiston, NY.
