Edward F. Venne, Jr. of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020. Ed was born in Tomahawk, WI, on July 8, 1940, the son of the late Edward F. and G. Marie [Turgeon] Venne, Sr.
Ed served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Midway.
He was a manager for various chemical companies throughout the country.
Ed was also an avid sportsman.
Beloved brother of Rose Marie, Dana ( Kathie), James (Gail), John (Cheryl), Thomas, Teresa, Mary, Janice Venne, Susan (Thomas) Myers, Patricia, Steven (Brenda) Venne, Joan Haley, David (Sharon) Venne, Jean (Robert) Vaughan, Jane (Christopher) Carrigan, also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Linda Anne and Judith Anne Venne.
Ed will be sorely missed by his family, neighbors and friends. He was not only our big brother, he was our friend and father figure when he needed to be.
Ed lived an exemplary lifestyle and showed us how to put God first, family next, neighbors next and then himself.
His family will be present on Monday from 2-5 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON,NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00 PM, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hinman and Second Streets,Youngstown, NY.
Interment with military honors in St. Bernard's Cemetery Youngstown, NY.
Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
